Gulf Film Festival Opening 2011

During the Arab Spring, The Gulf Film Festival of Dubai commissioned JBM to produce a powerful peace. Playing on the impact of audio we filmed the eyes of a woman in one shot on RED without one single blink and in ONE continuous shot. Hard to tackle and extremely emotional to shoot, we managed to pull it off. At this point in history what people make of it was subject to what people interpreted in terms of audio an what they thought this woman was seeing, or felling. For us we slowly see the pain, fear and despair that evoked the current reality of the Arab world and the GFF wanted to express its concern but commitment to making the world a better place by installing Hope in people's minds of the Festival.
