24th Men's Handball Championship Anthem Song

 

JBM was commissioned to produce a full Anthem and supporting media strategy and campaign for the Qatar 2015 Handball championship.  The concept was based on unity and collaborative/creative teamwork.  Our objective was to select an artist from each country participating to the Championship.  In total there were 24 countries, 24 artists singing one song.  We produced this over the course of 3 months.  The concept of the music video takes us on a journey around the world through the beating drum that is shared between countries and children passing on the rhythm of the championship, celebrating and sharing the moment to come in Qatar for the grand Opening ceremony where all the artists arrived to perform live in from of 17,000 people in the Lusail Stadium.

 

 

JBM was amongst the top 3 finalists as the Creative Agency to bid for the Opening Ceremony of the 24th Men's Handball World Championship hosted by Qatar in January 15, 2015.  This bid was to produce a show of 30 minutes comprising of various acts that highlighted the values and core pillars of the championship and the hosting nations.  JBM is proud to have participated in this bid because it collaborated with many outstanding artists and team member to create a unique concept.  With the Collaboration of Les Petits Francais, Mohammed Saeed Harib and Olivier Ferracci all of whom have extensive experience in creating unique shows and entrainment experiences, JBM was able to reach to top 3 as a finalist to be shoulder to shoulder with 2 other world renown Creative Entertainment Event Production Organisers.

 

This is the story of the making-of the Anthem.  24 singers, 4 continents, 1 song and one celebration.  The journey takes us through the experience of the producers and contributors to this project and what their experience is in being part of this great journey.  The final end game is the Opening Ceremony of the Championship in a stadium full with more than 15,000 people all cheering to the Anthem.  The message we grab from witnessing such an amazing collaboration is the power of unity, ambition and joy.  This project evokes the ambitions of the people in Qatar and what they aspire to be in the future and how their dreams are linked to the ambition of this project.
